Onboarding to Facebook Marketplace is a simple 3-step process that includes :
- Create an account on Commerce Manager OR Link your Facebook Business Page to the same
- Upload your Product Catalog or Create a new one
- Customize your Store Shipping, Return, and Payment Policies.
Facebook Marketplace is limited to eligible sellers and items.
Product Catalog is a set of information about your products. It includes the details about product name, size, and variants, etc. You can upload the existing catalog or create a new catalog from the Commerce Manager.
If you are a merchant leveraging checkout on Facebook, you have to ship your products within 3 business days and also ensure that the products reach the customers not exceeding 7 days.
You can start listing your products on Facebook Marketplace entirely for FREE. You only need to pay when you make a final sale; the commission rate is 5% for the product more than $8 and $0.40 for the product less than $8.
**Facebook has temporarily waived off the selling fees till June 2022.
Facebook Marketplace allows communication only through emails. As soon as the merchants start selling, they need to send the following transactional order emails to the shoppers-:
- Order Confirmation Mail
- Shipping Confirmation Mail
- Delivery Confirmation Mail
- Order Cancellation Mail
- Return Completion Confirmation Mail
